Overview:
The Performing Arts Center's 500-seat Bankhead Theater, which opened on October 1, 2007, serves as the home for a number of the area's finest performing arts organizations, including Del Valle Fine Arts, Livermore Valley Opera, California Independent Film Festival, Livermore-Amador Symphony, Valley Dance Theater, Cantabella Children's Chorus, Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre (formerly the Pleasanton Playhouse) and the Valley Concert Chorale.
In addition, the theater hosts visiting performance ensembles from around the Bay Area, including the Pacific Chamber Symphony, Lamplighters Musical Theatre, Oakland Ballet and the California Theatre Center, as well as providing performance and recital space for some of the area's music, dance and theatrical training programs. Finally, LVPAC presents a full array of performance activities drawn from artists and ensembles across the United States and beyond.
LVPAC’s goal is to provide arts and entertainment activities for the entire community throughout the year, energizing downtown Livermore and the Valley's arts and cultural scene. The theater is also used for conferences, seminars, meetings and public events.

In addition to performances presented throughout the year, we’re hard at work creating several multi-day festival events to be held on specific weekends. LVPAC Signature Events will feature multiple performances in the Bankhead Theater as well as free performances outside on the SheaHomes Stage located in the plaza directly in front of the theater. These events provide an exciting way to experience arts and entertainment in the Valley.
